Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant serves delicious yuzu miso dango and grilled ayu with salt. Even if you don't see the waterfall, if you buy here, the nearby parking is practically free, so I occasionally go there just to eat. Compared to other tourist facilities, the grilled ayu here is large and satisfying for the same price, with just the right amount of salt. It seems to be operated by a friendly and kind couple, even the owner was friendly to solo diners. I hope they continue to run the business with care for their health for a long time to come.
During the peak autumn season, my wife and I decided to visit the Takuya main store that we found online, expecting it to be crowded. We rode our bike there, but when we asked the older man guiding tour buses if we could park our bike, he mumbled something unclear and unfriendly. As we tried to turn back, a Takuya employee rudely stated that bikes were not allowed and asked us to keep going further in. Eventually, we were welcomed by a friendly woman at Iyotaya shop who allowed us to park our bike. Next time, even if we come by car, we plan to skip Takuya and head straight to Iyotaya. The location is also very good!
If you're not a fan of yuzu miso, you can ask for the mochi to be served without seasoning. The skewers are grilled perfectly and have a delicious smoky flavor. You can enjoy your meal at a table by the river. The staff quickly clears your dishes and the complimentary water service is a nice touch. We stopped by on our way back from visiting the Minoh Waterfall and found the service from the staff to be warm and welcoming. The waitresses, the manager, and the male grillers were all very friendly and made our dining experience a pleasant one.
