Bidra med feedbackI am torn about the Black Rock Cafe. Let me be frank: The food is excellent. Top notch. What I was shocked about was the price of additional protein on the salad and the size of the lunch salad. Paying $4 additional grilled chicken resulted in 5 thin slices which amounted to probably less than 4 ounces. Their breakfast sandwiches are excellent. I highly recommend.
I was thoroughly underwhelmed by the Mac Cheese here. The biggest disappointment was that the menu clearly says the Veggie Mac Cheese had sun dried tomatoes but my dish had them substituted with cherry tomatoes! The only similarity between the two is the word tomato . Did they think I was too dumb to know the difference? This was REALLY bad and it ruined the dish IMHO. And this is supposed to be a premium dish. If I was at least told, I would have appreciated and told them no cherry tomatoes. The other dishes looked interesting but I definitely wouldn 't go back for the Mac Cheese. It left a bad taste in my mouth... literally!
Perfect spot for a casual but delicious meal! My husband and I came to Black Rock Cafe for breakfast this morning. He got a sausage egg and cheese. The meat was fresh and cooked well, the cheese perfectly melted.... And totally worth the $3.50. I got the greek yogurt with honey, granola and fresh berries- delicious and filling! The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was great. We will definitely be back.. well done!
Good food, very tasty. My only issue was I ordered a ny strip panini and it hardly had evidence of steak. Truffle fries were very tasty.
New owners of the old mac and cheese bar are off to a great start, Neat and tidy space, friendly, helpful staff and delicious sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes and some top quality mac and cheese dishes too. All at very reasonable prices. Not fast food in either sense so expect to wait a little but the wait 's worth it.
