Bidra med feedbackDuring the stay in Custer, SD, decided to stop at a small cafe on the main train. Our first hint that we should turn around and left when you go into the door... look over the wall and you will see a LOCALS ONLY sign! Well, apparently from the service we were greeted with, this dive meant it! Our waitress was annoying, rude and showed an attitude to us as if we just kicked her dog or something! Out 2 daughters (ages 6 and 7 wanted to sit on the next table and our waitress lifted her voice to tell us: What the problem--- I need this table!!! (NOTE: There were several open tables around us, in their section they were not busy, and there was a whole other dining room completely open... It was a Monday, last week of May, when the tourist season has not even begun, so we cannot find out why it needed this precious table so badly! It should also be pointed out that our daughters were entirely at their best behavior, so it was a problem of the frying children! The café is decorated with Biker and Betty Boop. The food was nothing special. Not bad, not good. Just REMBER. Over here! There is a pizza place on the street that makes fabulous homemade pizzas and treats their customers properly! It is in an old opera house and very good!
Good. Good food and good prices. Yeah, there's a waitress that seems like it, but I noticed that she's all treated the same. Local and tourists alike. She's pretty attentive. Sweet nostalgic place. Saw a table of 9 older men enjoyimg conversation as they have to do every morning.
We were there for breakfast. The waitress was there quickly with our drinks order of coffee and juice. We had both eggs, bacon, sourdough toast and my husband had ash brown. Everything was very tasty and you definitely get your money worth of food. The waitress was very friendly. The atmosphere was like an old diner with walls of memory. It looks like it's a local hangout for breakfast, which is a good sign for me. We'll go back.
We have breakfast here when we're in Custer. Groundwater cooling. Eggs, hashbrowns, saisage, cookies and engraving. permanent refills on coffee. Server always on Earth just shooter and will make comments that are helpful, how do you have our pancakes? means they are great).
Fun small diner with wall to wall Betty Boop, biker and 70s music decor. I looked clean. Hardworking waitress. The breakfast that solidified the Diner experience for me: eggs, rye toast and black coffee as I wanted.
