Horatio's Homemade Ice Cream - Custer

I was not expecting to find any vegan options in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. They had one option, Hawaiian. It is coconut based with pineapple and cherry. It was very delicious and refreshing. It was very reasonably priced.

The cone was soggy/stale and I made the mistake of getting the chocolate chip cookie. Don’t do that. It tasted like last week.Update: my family convinced me to go in and tell them. So I told them the cookie tasted like it was 3 weeks old. They apologized and did nothing. I tossed it in the trash and they didn’t offer anything back. Not that I needed it but still, a cookie has to be atrocious for me to not eat it. The rest of the fam also tasted it. All spit it out. Gross.

This was the best ice cream I have tasted in a LONG time! Great friendly people and creamy rich great tasting ice cream. This is a MUST visit!

All flavors are delicious. I am a local so can enjoy this many months of the year. We especially like the mango and the vanilla flavors. They are all tasty. Friendly service.

There 's not a lot to say: it 's good homemade ice cream in a cool historic building. Maybe less flavor choices than I expected, but still a good range from traditional to creative.I was a bit surprised by their posted no samples policy, but I 'm sure they 're busy in summer, I can appreciate that moving the line along.
