Bidra med feedbackBreakfast options were numerous and very healthy. Dinner was great, I had the glazed salmon very good.
My husband and I are absolutely delighted at our experience here tonight. We are staying at Sonesta and moseyed on down to the lobby hungry after a long day traveling. We decided to go with Mamaji as it was quite frankly, right there, and we were both tired. We weren’t expecting much from a hotel restaurant. Well, we were wrong! This place is a gem. The service of our waiter, Francisco, was incredible. He was attentive from start to finish of our meal. Lovely ambiance and decor. The food was out of this world. I enjoyed the corn cakes and mamaji salad and my hubby had the farmers salad and the chicken noodle soup. I am not exaggerating when I say each dish was phenomenal!!!!!! Perfect serving portions too. Who knew soup and salads could be so impressive! The presentation and flavor profiles were just beyond. We were eating a light dinner as it’s our first night adjusting to the altitude in Cusco and cannot wait to go back and try more of the food. So happy it’s just down the stairs from us. The icing on the top of this great dining experience was the live Peruvian music played just a few feet away from our table. An enchanting man playing several different types of flutes made the whole meal feel like magic. We stayed 20 more minutes after we had finished our meal just enjoying his performance.
Located in the Sonesta Hotel, this restaurant offers wonderful food, excellent service, a good selection of wines and fantastic friendly service. I had two wonderful dinner experiences to remember. The food was great and complemented by some nice Peruvian wine. Both nights there was live entertainment with a local artist who was brilliant, performing traditional Andean music on pan pipes as well as some old favourites. They also do one of the best breakfasts anywhere, again with excellent service. Loved it, and recommend giving it a try.
My husband and I were promptly greeted in English (our primary language). The food was spectacular. We both ordered the grilled loin (beef tenderloin). It was beautifully prepared and accompanied by zucchini, mushrooms and a delicious wine sauce. Francisco was caring and extremely knowledgeable of the wine selection. He was quick to recommend a delightful Peruvian cabernet to compliment our lovely meal. When we were finished with our meal he took the time to go above and beyond exploring our vacation itinerary and made sure to call and book a shuttle for us to the airport. Thank you for the attention to detail and the love you put into your culnary creations. We recommend you to anyone travelling to Cusco and will personally cherish the memory of our exquisite meal.
So good we stopped looking for other places to eat. Located in the Sonesta hotel. Quinoa risotto is great
