Order of the escargot (brilliant) but was recommended to try their frog legs .... am...glad I was on him... absolutely wonderful .... we divided plates of both varieties ... in garlic parsley and with a cream sauce ...
Some friends had a stable on a Vide Grenier in the small village of La Truchère and we went to La Grenouille on the shores of the rope with them for dinner. La Grenouille has been a restaurant here for many years, but unfortunately it doesn't do itself a favor because it needs a serious thing. There is an elevated terrace that gives a good view over the river to the meadows, but the seating and decor is very dated and well maintained, and it is quite difficult to give the food the attention it deserves. My mignon de pork on the white plate was a good looking dish, but the garish tablecloth prefers to distract the eyes as the photo shows. At the end of the day it is the food that is important, but the environment affects what you think of the meal. As one would expect in a village where the original Raison d’être Frösche has conquered, there is indeed cuisses de grenouilles on the menu, the restaurant name also gives a hint. Also the small pulpit (whitebait) from the river. However, there are many other possibilities for people not in such a tariff. There is a 25€ menu with Entrée, plate, cheese or dessert, and a 30€ with cheese and dessert. There is a certain overlap between the courts on them and we chose 25€. I started with the Terrine Bressane aux Foies de Volaille and my wife had the Gateau de Foies de Volaille, two different treatments of chicken liver. My terrine was garnished with jelly and parsley; the little side salad had quite a gentle dressing instead of the hard Vinaiigrette you get so often. I recently had a really ugly gray Gateau de Foies de Volaille in the nearby town Tournus, but my wife really looked good with a rich tomato and basil Koulis. I continued with Filet Mignon de Porc in mustard sauce, and again had given some attention to the purse vegetables and small stack of chips that went with it. The Petite Friture d’Ablettes of my wife were well cooked and a very generous part. They came so often that they do with a small bag of chemical towel, but she was brought a dish of warm water with lemon slices without quibble when she asked. I finished with ausage blanc à la crème; my wife had a crème brulée, but noticed that it had added cornflour as stabiliser. Although we do not have cheese ourselves, we have seen that you have a quite large selection of a tablet instead of just 3 or 4 small pieces on the plate without saying in the choice that seems quite common now. The wine list is quite short, but the 1er cru Givry Stonemaier was in decent condition and cheap. The meal was not excellent, but overall we were all satisfied with it. There are obviously many locals who eat here regularly, but there are also many visitors in the village, especially for an event like the Vide Grenier. There are three restaurants to choose and I’m sure La Grenouille could make herself much more attractive to potential customers if they want. .

We chose it because it was almost full when we arrived at noon for mooring....Frog's legs are the specialty. Nicely presented in a heated plate and piping hot plate. Two options – parsley and cream. We chose the parsley option. Be ready, very sticky fingers eat this dish. The warm goat cheese salad was excellent. Strawberry tiramisu was great. Attention. Very recommended cheap and cheerful lunch.

We chose it because it was almost full when we arrived for a mooring at lunch time. Frogs legs are the speciality. Beautifully presented in a heated dish and piping hot plate. Two choices – parsley and cream. We chose the parsley option. Be prepared to get very sticky fingers eating this dish. The warm goats cheese salad was excellent. Strawberry tiramisu was terrific. Attentive service. Highly recommended cheap and cheerful lunch.
Family atmosphere and good franquette. We chose frog menus (persillad or cream:) that are rich and tasty. wine: white from the aze wine cellar, very well (red and scented). If the weather allows, opt for the terrace (shady and facing the seille, tables spaced), but recommended booking.Very good value for money.We will return.
