The Good Life Cafe - Cuenca

We sat on a terrace overlooking the river. The staff spoke English. Very helpful. Had very delicious Ceaser salad and Cubano sandwich. A very pleasant lunch. Prices were reasonable due to the foot and the ambanice.

EAT is on the first floor of The Vegetable Bar in The Castle building. It has a great menu of bowls, plates and sandwiches. The servings are hearty with prices around $7. There 's an interesting lamb burger, fish taco plate and meat loaf plate (served with baby potatoes and salad), which a friend said was 'the best deal in town '. The service is prompt and friendly. Recommended.

The food was ok... i liked the view and the prices we reasonable ... i had the cuban sandwich.. the bread was so crunchy it scraped the roof of my mouth ... also the sandwich was a bit on the dry side.. my husband had the BLT.. he really liked the peppered bacon... we were not impressed with the dumplings and spring rolls... but for Ecuador... they were fine. .. we might come back for the salmon .. it looked good

Excessively slow service (we waited for over an hour and it wasn't full), doesn't accept cards, the food is ok, but nothing special.

The order was messed up. Breakfast pannini tasted like bread only. Latte was bitter and when I asked what brand of coffee they use I was told that it was some local brand and it came preground. What a disappointment! It looked very promising. Nice atmosphere,great view but alas the food did not inspire to come back.
