De L'auberge Du Vigneron - Cucugnan

During our visit to the pretty little village of Cucugnan, dried by reading the menu map, we enter, without a priori, in this restaurant... We are immediately impressed by the decoration: big ass of barrel, very large chimney, staged with care and taste. Then, once the room crossed, we arrive on a very pleasant covered terrace, on the side of the mountain and with a superb view of the nearby mountains and the castle of Queribus, this is where we settled for this meal in the head. While waiting to make our choice among the dishes offered, the friendly and attractive waitress, brings us our aperitives, fresh and accompanied by delicately flavored olives. In a cod mousse with its vegetables... Despite my lack of attraction for this fish and my little hint for vegetables, I chose this dish cooked with taste and elegance, then a delicious rabbit prepared... a treat. For me an excellent baba with rum as dessert and for my darling a succulent catalan cream... even the coffee has enchanted us, not one of those express bistros (o) or (i) that reduces the palate, but a more delicate coffee and accompanied by a very good little biscuit with dried fruit. We come out so conquered that we make the promise to return before the end of our stay... That's what we've done today, and this has enabled us to confirm our first impression: we love this cuisine, it's the gastronomy that suits us... For this second trial, we tasted both fat (for my wife) with her apples, she loved... gamba beans (for me), despite my prejudged beans, this dish is so well prepared that the mixture of flavors works its magic while delicate. Then for us both the beef fillet... just perfect and to finish with the foliage chocolate for Marie, she found it wonderful and for me a chocolate mousse on turon... Hum!!! We are the Atlantic ledge and will not be able to return often... unfortunately... but we have already planned to make a gourmet stop in these places during the next holidays in España. Thanks to the chef and has all the staff in the kitchen and in the room for these pleasant moments
