Bidra med feedbackThis is a place that is obviously frequented by the locals. In conversation we learnt that the chef had been there for 28 years!The salad bar was basic but had enough (without lettuce). The mains were adequate: my roast beef was cold, but with chips and salad and my wife's turkey was in a very salty gravy.The house wine was palatable - but you would expect it to be in France. If you're hungry, it will do.

There was nothing wrong with the food The service was ok tooHowever it was very pricey for what it was The restaurant does have a nice garden ,which is a lovely feature on a sunny day92 euros for salad ,mussels and beer for four
We have visited this restaurant three times but have decided never again. The restaurant appears charming from the outside and our first visit was idyllic, a simple but tasty lunch in a pleasant garden area at the back. We returned. The weather was not so good so we sat inside. It was dark, the food seemed smaller in portion sizes and of a lesser quality: not such good value. We later realised that we were short changed by a few euro coins when paying our bill. Mistakes happen... A year later, we went back again and sat outside in the garden. When the time came to pay, we were charged extra for our drinks and had to argue forcibly at the desk to get the bill corrected to what it should have been. We will never know if we were treated like this because we had the temerity to keep on ordering from the low-cost lunchtime menu.
We stopped for lunch, from exterior looked nice. Interior was very pleasant but it was Sunday so no plat de jour available. Rest of menu a bit pricey. Young waitress was very nice but older gentleman had sat us right out of the way at bottom of room not near any other diners.He seemed a little put out when we didn't order main drinks with our meal.We had got drinks that were sufficient before we ordered our food. We had 'Welsh complete', which he said was Toast, ham, cheese and an egg on top. When it arrived it was just like a fatty bowl of melted cheese. It is a good thing it came with fries and we had bread as there was far too much cheese and grease.It was not very enjoyable at all.Maybe during the week the traditional 'plat de jour' may be ok.
