Siete Mares - Cuauhtémoc

We were planning to have dinner here but saw that the prices were super high, so we just had snacks and had dinner later elsewhere. The guacamole was 80 pesos, double the price we had paid in Barra de Potosi the day before. It's nice to sit on the beach with the ocean view, but they're gouging. Not recommended.

The sight of the beach is great but the food is just average.The waiting time was longer than expected.

We have to admit it... after an, almost 5 hrs highway travel, we were starving! So our judgment regarding the quality of the dishes was not objective! Hehehe.The furniture of the place is terrible. But since it was just right there on the sea shore... we didn't care!Ceiling of the place is made out of palm leaves, so when it started to rain, we started to get wet... we didn't care due to the hot weather!The food is hot n' cold sea food! Everything we tried was delicious and please... try a prepared coconut! (You will not regret it)On the other hand, prices are affordable, and they don't take credit cards.

7 Mares is a great place to hang out on the beach. Cold beer and cocktails are great and the prices cant be beat. Seems to very quiet on weekdays but gets very busy on the weekends with families going to the beach. We had lunch here one day and stopped for drinks a couple times. Service was always very good. I do not think 7 Mares is open for dinner, at least it wasn't when we were in town. Food was good, basic beach bar fare. Fish tacos, Pollo & Arrachera fajitas and seafood pasta all hit the spot. We would go hang out at 7 Mares again.

Great ambiance right on the water... Our group had tiritas appetizer, tortilla soup, fish tacos, camarones en mojo de ajo. The shrimp was good but it's kinda hard to mess that up.tortilla soup was very bland, had almost know flavor. We were very excited for the tiritas ( fish strips marinated and cooked in lime juice) because we had been ordering that dish during our vacation and it was delicious at all the other restaurants we went to. Unfortunately here it was prepared differently and all stringy( maybe a different type of fish?) My boyfriend described his fish tacos as "underwhelming" cannot comment on the drinks as we only ordered sodas but the view was great and our server was really nice.
