Bidra med feedbackWe loved this place. As a group of visiting Librarians we had heard good recommendations about this place. We stopped in for lunch to find out they don't serve lunch until 1pm. So we had brunch instead.
Located around the main shopping street thia cafe/ bar in a bookshop was a nice place to have a tea and read a bit. The service was friendly and relatively fast. We haven’t tried the food.
I used to visit a lot the place last year ago. This was a god place to take a drink, snacks and even to dinner. Tonight the service was terrible, There were not several drinks on the menu, it took a long time to serve them, and the worst, the waiter and manager were very rude, disrespectful and arrogants.
We were looking for dinner near our hotel in Zona Rosa and El Pendulo was recommended. We enjoyed it because the menu while not deep, did offer a wide variety of food options (we were a week into our visit in Mexico andnon-mexican options were appealing). We both had pasta dishes and while they weren't the best I'd ever had, they were good for the price I'd recommend the restaurant for the experience of dining in a book store with a restaurant and a piano bar. Wish we weren't so tired, so we could have gone upstairs to enjoy the piano bar for a night cap.
We were out on a rainy evening and decided to stop for dinner at El Pendula in Zona Rosa as we had read some very good reviews. What terrible food, the worst we have ever eaten in Mexico. I had the chicken breast which had tons of onions on top and tasted grotesque. My friend had the burger which actually had an unpleasing taste to it. The food was at most lukewarm and did not feel like fresh. Service was mediocre. Would not recommend anyone to make a mistake to go there. Better off at KFC around the corner!!
