Tommy's Red Hots - Crystal Lake

The gourmet chicken salad with house dressing and garlic bread is my go-to. Delish but light. And if I'm hankering for unhealthy, the hot dogs are pretty good.

We started getting tommy's again recently because my fiancé tried a gyro and it seemed like the quality was better than it used to be. We were wrong. Last night 11/15/22 we all got dinner here. This time, the gyro was over cooked and hard like usual.Already decided we aren't getting it again, then we all ended up with food poisoning all night. absolutely disgusting. So tiredof restaurants not knowing how to prepare food. I get sick from so many places in crystal lake these days we can hardly eat outanywhere. Figure it out or SHUT DOWN.

Man to be honest for the area. I work construction and to have a place besides the regular fast foods (McDonald's/Burger King) that is good is odd and this place is great. The food is really good weather you get a hot dog or a sub sandwich ???? priceis worth it and being I only get 40 minutes for lunch and it takes 6 minutes to get there from where I work the drive thruservice is fantastic hardley any wait. Def will continue to frequent this place!! ! But this is just my review. Try it foryourself

Fries were good..for 15 dollars and some change it was I can honestly say the worst beef sandwich that I have ever had..it was so dry it was hard to swallow no joke and couldn't taste the beef at all only and Italian seasoning that was on it..seemed as ifthe beef just sat in the jus until it dried and shriveled..there was juice as the meat came through the bottom of the bread as Ipicked it up.. overall just terrible.

Best gyro I've had in a really long time. Didn't skimp on the meat like most places do now and the tzatziki sauce was excellent as well, very pleased.
