Best Kept Secret - Crystal City

Just happened to come across the bakery today. I nabbed some tasty treats for my 13 y/o birthday. The selection was amazing. Everything was incredible! The lunch menu looked great and there is a cafe at the back entrance too.

This place has by far the best food around Crystal City. It is small and quaint with a nice big TV to enjoy and watch. The baked goods are the moistest and perfectly baked food ever. My fave is the Maple Pecan Cupcake. The prices are extremely generous. No other place even comes close to the prices here. Other places you have to refinance your house for a muffin, this place you can get a muffin with the change you find in your car. The two owners are just amazing and nice. They make the food, serve the food, make sure everything is good, talk to you if you want. They are just the best. Will come here every possible chance I can!

We tried every cupcake in the case! Each was delicious ! My favorite was the lemon. They offer bakery items-cupcakes and muffins as well as cinnamon rolls. After 10:30am lite lunch fare can be ordered like fancy grilled cheese. We will definitely be returning.

I went there on the recommendation of a client. She said the menu is small because it is a new restaurant. I have to tell you it was great! Our business group of four conducted a business lunch and ate delicious sandwiches and soup. All homemade and we were served food with 5-10 minutes. Dessert counter had great selections. I ordered the the lemon cupcake for dessert after my chicken salad on Croissant. Everything was so fresh. The cupcake was the perfect size for after lunch dessert. Larger muffins also sold here. Should have purchased more. Can't wait to bring others back! Both owners were so gracious. Loved the selection of soft drinks in the cooler!
