Bidra med feedbackAlso here with chris and oliva another wonderful relaxed night experience. l’auberge is located in the beautiful village crozant, where we also spent a fantastic afternoon on la creuse in a kanu. the service was error-free, friendly and courteous, without being formal....Olivia, did not want the children's menu and choose steak and they then drove away to also here a selection of the amuse buse items. chris and I loved the meal and the cafe gourmand, as well as half a bottle of wonderful wein. the food was kreatiw and tasty, but again as this was my 6th visit. would recommend for any special occasion or simply enjoy and enjoy fine eating and great worth, as well as striking beautiful people.
Another visit in this fantastic restaurant, this time for family members birthday. we had been lucky enough to be the only diner in this night, but it meant that we sebastien the whole attention of Chef/Patron and showed the food and service...with bell up! we have on the menu prestige at 56€ a head and excellent worth it was also. a bottle of crozes hermitage, for two of the parties, was quite excellent and quite expensive. la belle-soeur and her partner were well impressed and had an excellent evening. highly recommended. I should add that the restaurant has renovated one of its salons and the new chairs in all are an enormous improvement on the former and now are a joy to sit.
The chef guilleminot found the perfect balance between the theatricality of traditional French cuisine and the honesty of local simple foods. almost every ingredient is spent from the local farming and most of the crater and vegetables are actually haunted by the family. to this. true love add to art and you will understand why we had a wonderful evening! please do not judge them about the service: they must understand that the waiter staff is seasonal, as a restaurant in such isolated place has no possibility to professional staff throughout the year. the value is excellent as the food quality is comparable with a grande table in a capital, while the prices closer to a local restaurant. beautiful wine selection and reasonable selection of spirits. thanks for everything! will be back on my next trip!
Havent was a because, because of bad service last time...oh, dear, ignored once more by the chief woman after I sat for 10 minutes, I had to ask the young girl at the bar if we could have menus and drinks. so angry. because eating is excellent, but if they pay at least 40 euro per head, they must respect the staff expect, and toilet paper would be appreciated!
L'Auberge de la Vallée is a bit of an enigma. The quality of the is cooking is superb, presentation is excellent and the value, particularly for the menu du jour is outstanding. On the other hand, the service, although friendly, attentive and welcoming was somewhat...amateur. We visited the restaurant twice during our week's stay in the area the food was that good but each time the waiting staff struggled with opening a bottle of wine and were unable to tell us anything about the different cheeses we were offered, other than some were goat's cheese. It was difficult to find anywhere in the area open on a Tuesday evening, and, after our first visit, we enquired whether we could book for the following Tuesday. The waitress checked, and confirmed the booking. But when we turned up, the restaurant wasn't open and we found a sign saying it was closed every Tuesday! After looking for alternatives, we noticed that the door had been opened, so we went in; we were clearly expected and enjoyed another excellent meal. On our return home to the UK, we found an e mail telling us that the waitress had made a mistake and the restaurant was closed the evening of our booking, could we telephone please. No mention was made of this during our visit and they had clearly opened up specially to honour the reservation. So thank you to L'Auberge de La Vallée, that commitment to service more than makes up for an inability to describe the different cheeses on offer. Can't wait to go back.
