Delicious and fantastically prepared food. Great, friendly service, and quality experience! i'll definitely be coming back
This place was unlike any place I’ve ever been. Go for the experience. The food, I didn’t love, but then I have zero experience with west African eating. The ‘plaza’ it is in is an experience in itself. It reminded me of some very out-of-the-way places I’ve been to in the Caribbean. Then the ‘restaurant’ ... it’s a cluttered room no more than 10x10 with this guy lounging in an easy chair and talking on the phone. He was very chill and polite. He showed me into the kitchen which was ... I don’t know. There were four metal cafeteria serving trays. Cassava leaf, cray cray, and two rice. He gave me some of each. They both have chunks of chicken full of bits of bone, so eat carefully. He asked if I wanted to eat here. I didn’t see any place to do that, so I paid (do I need to say bring cash? , and went on my way. It was worth going for the experience. I can’t really say if the food was good, having nothing to compare it to. I’m glad I went, but I won’t go again-especially because I don’t live in Boston.
Sabbe talk krio? cam to Portland, Maine. I go be de best customer. I stayed at Hotel Bintimani on Lumley Beach. I called. No answer. Disconnected. I would like foo-foo shipped frozen to me every day or week.
I had cassava leaves over there that I ate with chikwangue I had at home. But the next day I still had leftovers so eventually eat it with rice, really good, really spicy too though! It’s close to the Congolese way, there’s peanut butter in it.
