Bidra med feedbackI honestly LOVE THE FLAVORED ICED TEAS.No offense, but I'm not a big fan of milk, so I don't really like Boba tea. (sorry i know that everyone here probably LOVEs it) I tried an iced tea and it was AMAZING. In my opinion their iced teas are better than Gong Cha or Kung Fu Tea. I love the flavors and the lychee jelly.I've been going here for a year now, and I'm really devastated that it's temporarily closed since they are short on workers. (I'd honestly work there myself if it weren't for school.)I'm a HUGE fan of Zai's and I go there almost everyday. Their macarons are AMAZING, and so is their ice cream!!
For a casual dessert place, the dessert is always solid. They have good cupcakes and cookies, but the cookies aren’t always as fresh as they could be. I wish they also had more options considering the whole store is a dessert place. it always seems a bit quiet and sad in there. But the ice cream and boba is good, and the prices aren’t bad.
4 1/2 stars Let me start off by saying that I am super picky about my macarons. I was fortunate to live very close to Asalt Buttery in Little Falls, which had by far the best macarons I've ever tasted. I was devastated when they closed, and every subsequent macaron I've had just hasn't been able to match the quality/texture of those magical French pastries. My chum and I decided to come here for a post hike dessert this past Saturday after having a mediocre brunch nearby. It was ridiculously easy to find parking on the main drag here (with the added bonus of an amazing vanity plate in front of us EIEIOOOO, which I didn't get until I read it out loud). The establishment itself is on the smaller side with very limited indoor seating consisting of two high top stools facing the front window. I imagine in warmer weather they can also put a few tables outside though. There were no other customers when we stopped in, so service was prompt and efficient.I impulsively decided to order the macaron chip ice cream not full on macarons, but this seemed like a noble compromise. I can't believe this is the first time I've encountered this concept; it seems so obvious in hindsight. It's literally just vanilla ice cream with pieces of various macaron flavors in it. Simple yet amazing. My only constructive feedback is that, because the ice cream they're using isn't as heavy/creamy as some other vanilla ice creams (not a complaint it reminded me of Hershey's ice cream and for all I know that's exactly what it was), I think they should have more macaron pieces in there to enhance the flavor. Regardless, I was a big fan and would absolutely get it again if I'm in the area. My chum got two macarons a vanilla and a coconut and enjoyed both of them.Beyond the scrumptious repast, the price point is ridiculously amazing. My small cup was a little over $3 and a decent serving. Most of the small business ice cream establishments down in my area of Passaic County would charge close to twice that. This was a unique twist on the standard ice cream/bakeries in the area, and absolutely worth your time (and money, obviously).
Their desserts are top notch! We had the cupcakes and the mac chip ice cream. They were delicious!
Cupcakes and macaroons were so good! Came with a little labeled chart. Highly recommend stopping in!
