Bidra med feedbackI was curious about this place because he's always packed. I took my family to have a quiet dinner and loved the place. Your sushi was great. My wife thinks this is the best sushi in the area. About her Chinese or Thai cuisine, the food is good, but I will not change my go-to restaurant for this: They need more employees in the service. I noticed they had only 2 waiters all over the place, all the tables were in use. Even the hostess is not very helpful, she did not even welcome me or my family, even after we hi or even when we said Bye, she was like a statue:P
We had taken out and there were the hands down the best Asian food I ever had, everything was delicious. It is so much better, then the standard take joint. These guys know flavors. I can't wait to go back and try it fresh. Land and sea and a Coconut Chicken Dinner. Do a favor and get something!!
If it wasn't for the pandemic and working at home, I would definitely have missed this local jewel. Now we order from here a few times a month. The sushi is fresh and closely rolled. I hate sushi that falls apart. You also have really good warm appetizers. I'm not in love with their hot ducks, not because they taste bad, but because they don't taste like the terrible Asian fusion food I've eaten. It attracts very clean tasting, not excessively salty, sweet, fatty or overcooked. They also allow some adjustments within reason as make it extra sharp, put the sauce on the side, not add x,y,z. You don't have an inside seat again, but the customer service is excellent. In a really busy night, you may have to wait 5-10 minutes for pickup, but they always apologise though it is not necessary. The prices are what you would pay for good sushi.
I just called there to pick up an order?. The girl on the phone was SO RUDE and NASTY!!! She even paid attention to me!!!! I am shocked and very upset!!! I hope the owner of the restaurant sees this review and has a nice conversation with the VERY RUDE employee! It is 8/20/21 at 6:13 pm and I literally called 2 minutes ago. If an employee has a problem, they should not take their anger on the customers and be evil!!! I've been in the hotel/restaurant industry for 40 years. Also the quality of food is not what it was earlier. We were very good customers; order weekly. This is the first time we have ordered from them in 2 months and this is the treatment we get? We never go there or order.
Whoa. Call me Guy Fieri because I just went to Flavortown. I tried Avenue East for the first time this evening and it totally blew me out of the water. We ordered two spicy tuna rolls $5.50), an eel avocado roll $5.50), a shrimp tempura roll $5.50), a chicken teriyaki entree $13.95), pan fried chicken dumplings $5.95), the buddha's feast entree $9.50), and the house lo mein $9.95). Pretty much all of it was excellent and I have no complaints. I have to start by singing the praises of the sushi. Seriously, it was spectacular and on par with any best sushi joints I've been to. There was a generous amount of fish and eel in each piece, and the rolls practically melt in your mouth. Totally worth it! The dumplings were awesome, too, and even though there was a sauce on the side, it wasn't even necessary as the dumplings were replete with flavor. I'd order them again in a heartbeat. I was also pleasantly surprised by the lo mein. It had beef, chicken, shrimp... and all in abundance. Big, plump pieces of shrimp scattered among shreds of flavorful beef... I'm still thinking about it! Solid choice you can't go wrong. Lastly, while I didn't eat in the restaurant so I can't speak to kitchen speeds or anything like that, I did meet Steve, the owner, and he was very polite and friendly. Really a nice guy! I don't know what other people leaving negative reviews are talking about but I can't wait to get Avenue East again.
