El Pollo Asado Del East - Cozumel

I’m from Los Angeles and know what’s the real deal with bangin’ hole in the wall spots. This place does NOT disappoint. 10/10 experience every time. You know a place is legit when no one speaks a lick of English and they have to pull out the Google translate on their phone. Excellent value for excellent food. I get the mixed meat which is enough to feed a family for $27. The pork ribs are to die for. The chicken is soooo juicy and flavorful. The charro beans ? All the house made sauces. I drive all the way to the East when I get the craving for this type of food and it slaps every single time.

This place was awesome and their food was amazing! We got the pound of carnitas which came with a side of beans and rice and tortillas for 20 dollars plus tax. Their cucumber/lime and pineapple Agua Fresca was delicious and refreshing! The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed and the music which made me feel right at home. I'm so glad we stopped here before we headed out of Louisiana!

My bf and I decided to try something new for cinco de mayo and ran across this place. We ordered 6 beef, lengua tacos and 1 soda which came out to $30. Unfortunately when we received our order, we were short on 1 taco. The meat of the taco was very good and juicy. However, the flour was dry. The customer service wasn't that great either.

El Pollo Asado De'l East is located at 10709 Chef Menteur Hwy and has another Yelp page. 5 Stars just for the house sauce alone! I'll definitely be back to try the 2 pc grilled chicken!
