La Herradura - COZUMEL

Now at 40 Ave Norte art Calle 2 Norte. Went with our local family and friends. What a little gem! An extensive menu of chicken enchiladas sour cream and or delicious Mole. Had a pork Milanese which was fabulous. A very small place might seat 15+ Every entre our group had was excellent. Deserts were great key lime pie, banana split etc. Erika is the owner and server and maybe even chef although I heard one other person in back. I cannot believe it took us so many trips to find this excellent restaurant. Only open for lunch and early dinner they do a lot of carry out and after our great meal, I see why.

Ate at the new, since last year, location in February. Still awesome food and service. My daughter and I shared the guacamole and shrimp fajitas. The guacamole was probably the best we had on our trip. So creamy and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp fajitas were delicious. We had the iced tea, which is phenomenal and shared a slice of wonderful key lime pie for dessert. Erika is a joy to talk to and runs a great restaurant. Please give this restaurant a try. I have never been disappointed and I would be so sad if she doesn’t survive this pandemic. Google the address and go! You won’t be disappointed you did. Went to La Herradura today! The service was fabulous as was the food! A wide variety of local food! Everything made fresh! There is nothing on the menu that you will b disappointed in! Back away from all the tourist stops, which makes it better! If you come to the island this is a must to stop at and enjoy the food!

Lunch here was so good with fried plantains, rice and the best tasting enchiladas I have ever eaten. If you like flan this is the place to go. Yum.

Very moderately priced authentic home cooked regional meals. Family atmosphere with mama helping the daughter who owns it. The food was very nice but they've no liquor license so you must wash down the meal with soft drinks and traditional Mexican beverages. This is really a neighbourhood restaurant as it's situated on Avenida 30 away from el centro. If you're in the area and don't need alcohol with your meal then it might be worth a visit. The family that runs it is very warm and hospitable. The menu seems to have new offerings daily.
