The Galley Grill - COWICHAN VALLEY B

We stopped by chance at the galley grill on our journey from nanaimo to victoria perfect place to sit in the sun on the deck and enjoy the picturesque view of the sea. the service was very friendly and the food was casual. but respectable.

I stopped here for breakfast while waiting to meet my realtor because it was an easy spot for him to find me. The views from the deck were gorgeous, the staff friendly. Breakfast was what you would expect, perfectly adequate, coffee was a bit weak...but that's just me. What totally spoilt it was a very unpleasant woman coming over and giving me grief in the car park for being parked there. I explained that I had eaten in the restaurant and had asked permission to wait there but she was most rude and passive aggressive.

In the summer, we arrived at the restaurant by boat and walked up to enjoy the amazing view of The Arm at Shawnigan Lake.

Lovely place to sit lakeside after a long day Serving up all the classics along with local craft beer.

Went in on opening weekend and food was delicious!! All the fixings for the burger (bear paw shaped, cooked JUST RIGHT!!) Fries crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, great with vinegar or ketchup. Will be returning all season long as now we have a place nearby!! Service great, local girl friendly. Lovely date day lunch! Will be back this summer, and will bring the family too.
