Spice Central - Cowes

I recently went to a sailing event in Cowes last week, which was my first visit to the island. We decided to go to Spice Central for our Friday night curry. The restaurant was bustling and the staff were very attentive. We may have had a bit too many Cobras, but overall, it was a very enjoyable evening. I look forward to visiting Cowes again in the future.

My boyfriend and I decided to have a curry at our favourite Indian restaurant in Cowes. The management gave us a bottle of Prosecco in the house as we are local customers my boyfriend had the chicken shashlik and I had the Lamb Rogan Josh. it was a wonderful experience..

Absolutely disgusting, booked a table for 6 people to celebrate our wedding anniversary whilst on holiday, had an email confirming that we had a table a couple of days prior to our visit. We arrived on the Thursday evening and advised we had a table booked, my friend asked if they had a high chair as stated on our booking the MANAGER told us we were in the wrong restaurant and that it was down the road, feeling a little embarrassed we were in the wrong place we walked down to road to find that there was not another restaurant with the same name, so we went back and shown the manager our email confirmation and was again told this was not the restaurant we were looking for and given an address. We came out the restaurant again to see that on the track and trace app in the window was the exact address that we were at and a place were we had booked for our anniversary, the manager clearly just didn’t want a child in his restaurant. He was very ignorant and rude, all over a high chair. Absolutely disgusting. Please don’t book this place if you have children.

I recently dined at Spice and had a fantastic experience! The new menu and selection of wines were top-notch. We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic flavors and exceptional service. Despite being part of a large group, the staff took great care of us. We plan to return at the end of August.

We have been residents in Cowes for several years and have tried most of the restaurants in town. However, the food at Spice Central has always been exceptional. My wife loves the Goan fish curry, which is a crowd favorite, and I thoroughly enjoy the Sally lamb. We highly recommend both of these dishes.
