Rimas Diner - Covington

Where do I start. We ordered pork chops, fried chicken, salad, and they were all amazing! I have no idea how they managed to cook such amazing meals. The waitress actually recommended those to us since it was our first time and we were not disappointed. The service was quick and so we took our time taking pictures chatting and having fun. Such a nice place to bond and not to mention the prices are affordable. This is truly one of the best restaurants in Covington. I recommend the fried chicken since the flavor doesn't compare to any I've had.

I visited Rima 's diner for the first time the other day. I walked in unsure of what to expect, since it didn 't appear like the diner 's I 'm use to visiting. It has a classy, clean appearance and smelled of the comforts of home and not the usual smell of fried fatty foods that sometimes little diners smell of. I was eating alone, which I often do, but this time I was so comfortable, it didn 't cross my mind. I was quickly seated and looked over all the variety of foods on the menu. As my belly rumbled I ordered the Parmesan Chicken and sat sipping my drink looking around taking in the atmosphere. While sitting comfortably, observing the decor of legendary past icons, I saw an elderly man and a young man eating their lunch, after they finished their meal, they shared a slice of pie. The older, but incredibly adorable gentleman was listening to the music, reminiscing on some wonderful memories he had of an Elvis song that was playing. The smile on his face and the satisfaction in his belly was a prize winning moment. The wait wasn 't long. As the waitress sat this huge circular white plate down in front of me and I said to myself 'there is no way I will be able to eat all of this. ' I normally don 't eat everything on my plate, but I did! The Parmesan chicken was juicy and thick, the crust was nicely brown and seasoned perfectly. It wasn 't greasy, and easy to eat. The crust and chicken had a mouthwatering flavor of garlic and other infused seasonings. The food was so good, that later that evening I had wished I hadn 't ate it all. I look forward to visiting this gem again and trying the other items on the menu. The waitress was sweet and attentive. I also spoke with the owner and within that short time; I could tell she is a beautiful woman inside and out. Her customer’s interest and her business is her passion. The image of the adorable elderly man and the happiness in his face of a memory triggered with good conversation and great food was worth more than money could buy. Definitely a place good for the soul!

We really liked this place. the staff was excellent and so was the food. I got the fried catfish and wasn't disappointed at all. Definitely save room for desert because the home made cakes are really really tasty.

We've been living in this area for 2 years, looking for a decent place to eat. I can't imagine why we haven't tried this place before! From the atmosphere, to the food, to the staff, one of the best restaurant/diners I've eaten at. And we've eaten at a lot of different restaurants, in a lot of different places. Rima's will definitely be one of our new favorite places to eat!

Service was great, really friendly folks! I had the cod, it was perfectly cooked...but, I think their breading is too crisp, and absolutely tasteless. I had to use ketchup (ugh) to get some flavor. The green beans were wonderful and the fried potatoes with onions were a crispy delight.
