Hotel Turist - Covasna

We've never been served worse. The waiter didn't say hi, he dropped the menu on the table. When he came to order, they didn't have what we wanted, and when we asked for Dessert, he said he didn't have time to bring it to us because he had more important orders... disappoint.

We visited the restaurant this year and it's good as it was. Very good price and for this you get high quality food. It is by no means a chic restaurant, but a good value for money. Our recommendation goes for Gulas an ungarian dish served as a soup but also as main dish. Here the Gulas main dish was with pickled cabbage. Curious but tasty. Avoid french fries were burned. It 's a place in center of Covasna, near the...mineral water spring. The restaurant could be more clean and luminous with some small intervention. Perhaps on summer the terrace is more inviting.

As there is no reviews for restaurants in Covasna yet , I decided to start the thread. Apart of the two 4 start hotels at the end of the town on the way to Comandau that have quite good restaurants I would like to write...a review on the Tourist. The restaurant is in the town center next to the park. It belongs to the hotel with the same name. No special thrills for a foreign person, the food is fresh, properly prepared and provides very good value for money. main clientele are local tourists , but the Menu is in local languages as well as English and German. Soups are great, salads are crispy and the main dishes both meat and fish are just tasty. It feels that you are eating at the Romanian mama's kitchen, that fairs that you may stay hungry so the portions are King's size Do not order deserts before you are through with the rest to be sure you can make it. The seating is a bier garden type and many people come here just fro a drink. some English is spoken by the friendly and efficient staff. expect to spend 40 50 lei ~9 12 Euro) for a full 3 course meal with drinks

Exceptional! Great view, food and people. Extremely quiet and comfortable. I recommend it. Overwhelming landscapes, healthy food, spa centers.
