The Olive Stone - County Durham

We’ve just been to the first ‘supper club’ here tonight. A three course meal for £20 but everything was home made, including the pasta. Only 12 seats inside so it was so small and perfect, the food was amazing. Can’t wait for the next one to be advertised, we’ll be there!

I reviewed this in 2017 and have been attending regularly ever since. It deserves a further review. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is top quality. Corn beef and red onion pie is exceptional and not available often enough. I would highly recommend this place to eat in or eat out. Well done.

We were staying at a b& b nearby and took a short stroll to the Olive Stone. Very clean and , helpful, friendly staff. We both had a pizza and a hot drink. They were made to order and the service was excellent The pizza’s were beautiful and very filling. Lots of local people were nipping in for takeout while we ate in. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely love this bakery. Tasty bread and cakes and the man that works there is so nice and friendly. My three year old boy loves the cannoli too. Definitely recommend this place. Thank goodness it has stayed open for takeaway the bread is too tasty to miss out on

Popped in with the family today and was happy we did. Food was lovely and the chap serving us was very nice. We’ll definitely return Thank you!
