The Blacksmiths Arms Low Pittington

I went to the restaurant today for Mother's Day Sunday dinner and I couldn't fault the meal at all. The pork was tender, the loins were cooked perfectly, the crackling was spot on, the roast potatoes were delicious and fluffy, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the puddings were cooked to perfection. The gravy was delicious and there was plenty of vegetables such as mashed carrots, parsnips, broccoli, cabbage, and turnip. I really enjoyed it. My only complaint was the apple crumble, but this is just a personal preference, as the apples were too tart for my liking. That's the only issue I had, other than that, it was perfect. I am planning on taking my husband there on a Sunday to show him how nice it was.

This was my first visit to Black Smith's Arms, and I had a three-course meal. Every course I chose was excellent, so I had to give them 5 stars.

If you're enjoying some of the lovely walks around here this place is certainly worth calling in on! 1st time I've been it's now on my favourites list. Very rarely is it possible to find a place that's welcoming, not expensive serves gorgeous home cooked food. The homemade chips are unreal hot beef sarnie was delicious. All of us were impressed with what we ordered. 100% recommended
