El Charro - Cotulla

Charros is the restaurant I always turn to for a delicious meal.

I waited for 3 hours for my food and when it finally arrived the torta was soggy and the chicken was dry. The gringo fries were also disappointing - old and soggy.

I ordered the #23 Fajita Steak, Chicken or Beef Quesadilla, Crispy Taco, and Asada Tacos. The Fajita Steak was pretty good, with a whole steak instead of strips, tasty rice, and delicious charro beans. The salsa rojo had a nice flavor with some heat. The Quesadilla was alright, especially with the salsa. However, the tacos were disappointingly bland. I would prefer Taco Bell tacos over these. It's a shame to have bad tacos so close to Mexico. If I had only tried the tacos, I would give it 1 star. Stick to the other food options and stay away from the tacos!

The food was amazing. It was recommended by our host at Main Stay hotel. The food was fresh and very flavorful. We will be ordering again when we come back. Thanks

Today my tacos did not taste good at all. they were cold and not displayed very pretty. Very disappointed.
