Bidra med feedbackNice outdoor seating and tasty coffee and cakes. Let down by strange service set up, we only ordered coffee and cake. The coffee arrived promptly but no sign of our cakes. When I asked, I was told by 2 members of staff just sat around that there were other orders ahead of mine. Why neither of them can be trusted to put 2 pre sliced cakes on plates is beyond me.
Top notch delightful tea room, stopped for lunch. Home made quiche, o my goodness, so tasty, we both chose a different one: ham and egg (mysef) and a spinach veg, it was so deep, beautiful pastry, and served warm with side salad. Even the coffee was delicious. Obviously busy at lunch time, efficient however you will have to wait, no problem at all. Another table had home made soup overwhelming steamy bowl.
We had a friend down from Scotland and chose this cafe at random , so glad that we did. I had bacon and leek quiche large slice) with a salad which was beautiful. The salad had an ingredient which I had never had or heard of before, Israeli cous cous, it's not cous cous) Had to ask the owner what it was, very small balls of pasta mixed with herbs, olive oil and they had also added some chickpeas, on a bed of lettuce. Really very good, will be back.
The owner was needlessly impolite. Why enter the hospitality industry if you can't even treat customers with basic respect?
Great little spot for tea. We were walking Stow when a massive downpour showed up so we hunkered down and got some tea and a scone and was delicious. Owner was very kind. Would recommend.
