At Fosse Manor - Cotswold

We recently attended a wedding at Fosse Manor in their Hyde Barn. The wedding catering was fantastic, however, there was no actual restaurant on site, just a banquet room and bar. Unfortunately, breakfast was not up to par, with pre-cooked food under heat lamps and weak tea. The breakfast room had communal trestle tables and was very noisy, resembling a hostel atmosphere. After a disappointing stay in the accommodation (reviewed separately), the overall experience was not enjoyable. It was a shame, as the wedding catering was exceptional.

The service was slow and late, and my 11-year-old granddaughter can cook much better. The paella tasted terrible, like poo, and the staff had a bad attitude.

I was completely disappointed with the restaurant as it did not meet any of my expectations. The flavor, atmosphere, and personality of the venue were all lacking, and we were very let down by the food and service.

We had such a fantastic meal, so delicious and the waiter was brilliant! Worth every penny! Only negative, not a lot of atmosphere as we were the only people in the restaurant (and hotel! but it didn't spoil it for us. Have visited a few times and never seems that there's anyone actually eating in the restaurant. Mostly Weddings I think.

Highly recommend the restaurant- the beef just melted in my mouth and was cooked to perfection. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful.
