Taverna Scalchi - COSTERMANO

Me and my wife were the only customers in the restaurant it took like 30 mins to bring us the meals, it was only a chicken and a spaghetti, but I can say a good thing about the waitress that he was so kind. And the food wasn't good at all.

We picked out this restaurant for dinner from other trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is part of a beautiful hotel off the beaten track but perfectly located on the hill side with amazing views over the countryside, Garda and the lake. We sat inside, as are all the tables, but with all the glass doors open the views are unhindered and fantastic. We sat at 7:30 and watched a beautiful sunset with our aperitifs served by the sommelier who explained all four bottles of sparkling wines were from local vineyards. When we asked for a rose wine for the meal he recommended a lovely local Bardolino wine which was only 20 Euros. The food was lovely, very nouvelle cuisine, but delicious. Service was super friendly and attentive. We went with our 8 and 10 year old girls and the menu included children’s meals which had delicious food they loved. We will definitely be back.

Service and view are top notch!!! Wine program is amazing. Especially since they have to do it any a few different languages. Food was not as great but pretty good. The effort is there on the food but most dishes we had either needed another element, more seasoning, or some acid. The ambiance is perfect. It’s a must try if in the area.

Situato sulla terrazza dell'hotel, con bella vista della baia di garda, non ha molti tavoli per i quali è quasi obbligatoria la prenotazione per l'esterno. aperto solo per cena, fallo. coccolante si conosce capisala gianni e nicolò, sempre di estrema cortesia. non di ampia scelta il menu à la carte, ma con piatti di ottima qualità sia di terra che di mare/lago e con una bella presentazione. per lo più frequentata da coppie e alcuni clienti familiari dell'hotel, colpisce anche la quiete che accompagna la cena.
