We really enjoy going there for their huge fish and chips. Since there’s no other place like it in South Orange County, we didn’t mind the drive. However, when we went today, we were greeted by the disappointing news that they are no longer in business. Luckily, they have another location in Fountain Valley, so we drove there instead. We were not disappointed at all—it was definitely worth the trip!

I had an excellent fish and shrimp dinner here. The restaurant has only a few tables, and the meal tastes best when enjoyed right away. We don't live too far from this delightful experience!

I would give this place a 4.5 rating. The owner, who usually takes the orders, is very friendly and accommodating. Each meal is made to order, so you can expect your fish and fries to be hot and fresh, which takes about 10 minutes. The restaurant has only 4 tables inside and 1 outside, making it a small but very clean space. They ensure that the ketchup and vinegar bottles are cleaned between each customer, which is a nice touch. It's a surprising find along the 17th Street promenade, perfect for families and great for combo meals. The batter is light and not overcooked. I would definitely recommend it, as I've been here several times.
