Mezzet Mediterranean Cuisine

This place changed ownership and the dynamics have changed. Regular bartender is gone, as well as regulars I used to see. Subtle changes in quality of food as well. I hope the change is for the good. I'll come back in 6 months. Going back to Capital Grill.

My husband and I went to Mezze 5/25/23 in the early evening. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we were quickly seated on the patio. We ordered hummus and pita along with wine. The hummus was creamy and delicious. The pita was prepared with some oil and garlic and was a bit chewy. We ordered the chicken tagine to share. It was served in a traditional tagine dish. It was delicious and very shareable. What we especially liked about the tagine is that not only was it very tasty, it was also a light entree. We decided to share the limoncello cake which was lemony and not overly sweet.Our server was Bella and she did a great job! When we asked about ingredients, she checked with the chef and made sure we were able to steer clear of troublesome ingredients. She was attentive and professional.

Horrible service, food is not good, the chicken was chewy and food was cold. The kafta kabab was burned out and so dry. Very bad experience. The waitress had very bad attitude. When I asked bring the check with very bad attitude she threw the check book. If I could give 0 start I would. Not recommend it.

I used to like eating at this restaurant. But I did not have a good experience. I asked for salad with Caesar dressing and the server (an older man with white hair who said he recently retired and decided to go into the restaurant business) got angry and said that he didn't understand multiple times. I asked where he was having difficulty understanding. Eventually he said asking for a different dressing would get him fired. I kindly explained to him that I'm only asking because that was what I ordered last time. Its not a big deal for me, personally. Unfortunately that did little to calm him down. He seemed really angry. After he left, I heard him complain to another server about this apparently absurd request for a different dressing. I still left a little tip at the end because I feel he's probably going through some personal issues. And I tried my best to be as kind and professional as possible even though it wasn't being shown to me. But, sadly, I will not be coming back. Nor do I think he wants me back.

Delicious! The spicy potatoes are a must when ordering an appetizer. Even my sister who doesn't like spicy orders them because they are so good! Pasta is fabulous and the service is wonderful.
