Tin Tin Cafe - CORTONA

This clean and bright small Cafe offers great coffee, handy location opposite the Station , friendly staff a bonus.

My husband had to go to this town to have a Cat scan (the medical center is excellent). We got there early and looked for a place to eat. There wasn't much around and many places were closed. Then I spotted Etruria ristorante/bar/hotel. Nothing fancy but good service and excellent steaks. My husband had osso buco and said it was excellent.

Terontola Station is the best station to get to Florence or Rome from Cortona and surrounds. The line to Florence has express trains that stop only in Arrezzo and Florence. But allow enough time before the train to have a traditional Italian breakfast across the road from the station at the Tin Tin Cafe. Simple food croissant marmaleta, pastries, salami pannini etc and really, really good coffee. You can sit out on the footpath in comfortable chairs and enjoy the passing parade locals mainly coming for their coffee at this popular spot. And all at very good prices....get some water here to take to Florence!!!! it will be about a third of the price.
