Bidra med feedbackWe drove to look for a restaurant quite late and came over this restaurant it was soon to close and the very nice waiter kept it open to us. he sneaked 2 pasta dishes that were both extremely delicious. the restaurant was made... beautiful inside and with other people eating it would have had a nice relaxed atmosphere. we had a wonderful dinner there and had come very pleased about it!
We were near relais villa petrischio and had our first dinner at our stay in poggio sant’angelo. the food, the wine, the hospitality were all wonderful. Although we do not speak Italian and the owner speaks practically no English, we were welcomed and appreciated. we traveled to other cities of toskana on our limited stay, but wanted to return to poggio sant’angelo. we just couldn't fit it in. when they are in the opposite, they do a real fallen and enjoy a meal ther
We had 4 freshly prepared breakfasts here. also 2 dinners, which were prepared so well. the soups were homemade and delicious. our main thing was all different (4 of us). the second time we had dinner, it was so difficult to choose how every dinner is so...fresh and delicious. the whispers we had to make for were really delicious. my fav. the crème brule. Thank you!
When we were guests in poggio sant’angelo, we chose our last night in the opposite. even though we had already experienced luigis warm hospitality, we were all the more informed about his real love to eat and wine. if they want. to enjoy some high-quality eating and feel like guests visiting their home, they simply have to visit dolce maria in poggio.
If you want a true Tuscan experience, dont miss out on this stop, Poggio Sant' Angelo is a beautiful villa converted into a restaurant and B&B. The grounds host an olive grove, pool, roman ampitheather, and vegetable garden for the restaurant. Luca will greet you...as an old friend stopping in for lunch and Luigi will cook you an exquisite farm to table style meal that is made from scratch, the pasta is hand made not even a machine to cut the noodles. the experience will be well worth the trip. If you cant resist staying they have lovely rooms upstairs, and you'll get to speak to the sculpor who is working on the first of an annual commitment to the arts to host a sculptor and add to the already beautiful grounds. Oh and there is a helipad if you would prefer to fly. The biggest surprise is its very reasonable for such a treasure, a lot less than any of the restaurants in Florence or Rome and much better.
