The new owners have really made this a fine lunch destination. Food is great and the atmosphere is surprisingly pleasant. The jazz music makes for a relaxing lunch experience.

The food and the service here was outstanding. I had pork chops, chicken wing (not a tiny wing), green beans, mashed sweet potato, corn bread, cucumber and tomato salad, turkey and dressing. I had to take the slice of chocolate cake home and it was delicious as was all of the food. The sweet tea was really good also. If you like delicious home cooked food and great service go and support this black owned business. I will be back any time I visit Corpus Christi.

Under NEW management. Food is great and the staff is very friendly. I enjoyed the experience and the decor is beautiful with awesome photo ops. Food is fresh and plenty of options. I was in Corpus for a full week for a traing conference and ate here everyday for lunch. Never disappointed and the onwers make yiu feel welcomed. Private gem known by locals but visit if you're going to Corpus Christi, you won't be disappointed. Affordable prices and home cooked food away from home.

Wow, what a place. Had the fried chicken and it was outstanding. Partners had a huge fried pork chop, and the beef tips. Both mentioned great flavor. The portion sizes are hearty. Will be back for the turkey special on Thursday's. Highly recommended.
