Bidra med feedback7/24/22 Visited the restaurant today after our Corolla Wild Horse Tour. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. and the kitchen staff cook informed us that they were closed. We were greeted by a young lady named Destiny who told us that we could get a takeoutorder. We tried their beef brisket ribs with sides of fried okra, coleslaw and potato salad we asked for an order of bakedbeans which were left out and iced tea. The meat was good as was the potato salad and okra the slaw was okay. The ribs briskethad really good seasoning and the BBQ sauce was good but a very small amount. We may try the Nags Head location next time to seeif they have better preparation.
We were not impressed on a Friday night eating here. Food was ok, bit NOT great or of any stand out. William was nice. Service, including drink refills and time for food to come out was slooow and they were not real busy. Good tasted ok, I had the hugebrisket sandwich with baked beans. Baked beans were good. Huge was NOT huge. I LOVE brisket but not from here, little flavor. If you must or for conveinience come here...otherwise check out other options. I may try it again with hesitation as I was atanother sooeys years ago and I believe it was good.
I was craving fried chicken, but my first choice was closed. Luckily, I found this place! The staff was fantastic, and my order was ready before I even had a chance to sit down. Everything was fried to perfection, and the hushpuppies were the highlight of the meal, especially with the honey butter spread. The chicken was well-seasoned and had a nice crispy texture. The baked beans fries made for a delicious side too. This will definitely be my new go-to spot during my visits to the OBX!
As someone from North Carolina, I've had my fair share of BBQ and ribs, and I have to say, this place is among the best I've ever tried. The BBQ had a delicious bacon-like flavor and melted in my mouth. The ribs were incredibly tender, with the bones coming right out as they should. Everything had that perfect smokey ring and flavor. I highly recommend giving it a try if you love meat!
I was visiting town on vacation and needed a spot for a quick dinner. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, and it was tasty. This was my first experience with Carolina BBQ, so the vinegar flavor was a bit different for me, but I really enjoyed it. The fries, unfortunately, tasted like they had been under a heating lamp for a while, but they were still acceptable. Overall, I would rate this place 4.5 out of 5 stars.
