Bidra med feedbackI had a bad experience at this restaurant yesterday around 2pm. I requested hot food but was rudely told by the kitchen that they were closed. The customer service was terrible and the food was overpriced. I ordered a scone with butter and had to pay an additional 75p for a small portion of jam in a plastic cup. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
Had an amazing cream tea with freshly baked scones. Other food available was fresh and tasty. Restaurant adjoins the cathedral and well worth a visit
Read the reviews and saw the pictures for this establishment. So decided to visit, upon arrival the menu on the table was very sparse, when we asked about hot food we were told it wont be available to after 12pm. We then asked about a toasted tea cake (which appeared as an option on the board above the counter) and was told by a very rude lady, in a very un christian tone“Don’t have any” So we left, For a place thats looking for charitable donations the wait staff need a lesson in courtesy.
We decided to have coffee with a bacon sandwich and a slice of lemon drizzle cake, both of which were delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and the staff were mindful of COVID-19 precautions.
Went to Truro on a day trip, lovely little town to walk around but the cathedral is something else, have got to say I’m biased here being a bricklayer, stonemason myself. The amount of work and quality of the work that went into this building is phenomenal,The arches and pillars inside are perfection and must have been done by the best tradesmen in Britain, the stain glass windows, everything exceptional. On the outside there are figures missing from their plinth but I understand they’ve been taking down to be repaired. The marble on outside along with the sandstone are wonderful and must be seen, definitely a must see.
