The Old Rowing Club

I attend a private breakfast club gathering here once a month. The service is excellent and friendly, with staff who engage in conversation with patrons. There is a wide variety of cooked breakfast items, and they are very generous with portions and offer refills of hot drinks. If the breakfast is this good, I can only imagine how delicious the regular meals must be! Thank you.

My wife and I went for a meal on Saturday, December 5th. I ordered a bird burger and she had the vegan burger. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The burgers tasted like microwave meals and the fries were not good either. When the manager asked for feedback, my wife told her about the noise level and the excessive drinking of other patrons. Despite her complaints, the manager said there was nothing they could do. It was a disappointing dining experience, with loud and drunk customers and waiters who seemed more interested in selling drinks than providing a pleasant dining atmosphere for couples and families.

My husband and I went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening at 5pm. It felt like a fast food joint you would visit after a night out. We both ordered burgers. My husband got the chicken burger and I ordered the vegan burger, but both were dry and lacked flavor. The salad was made up of wilted lettuce, onion, and cucumber. The fries seemed to be frozen and cooked in the oven. This place has potential, but they need to put more effort into the food. I was expecting a relaxed atmosphere, but after dining here for an hour, I left with a headache. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere with great views, I would recommend trying the Wilcove Inn or Carbeille Inn. I usually dine at those places in Torpoint, but I wanted to try something different and was very disappointed with this restaurant.

I have had a wonderful meal me and my husband both had the 6oz burger and American pancakes to follow well worth recommending.

I had a very good experience, social distancing was first class, and very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend.
