But after a recent Sunday roast at The Boot we spotted their Valentine’s event. So glad we decided to go for it. The menu was great and the food delicious: Champagne and oysters Prawn and avocado cocktailChateaubriand with dauphinois potatoes, field mushrooms and tomatoes on the vineHot chocolate fudge cake. Thank you Kim, Sean and your team in making it such a delicious and fun night out
I visited the pub looking for a meal for the following evening. Two locals quietly suggested that this was the best place to eat locally. I had a drink and chat with the owners and booked. I had been made to feel welcome and was not disappointed the following evening. My starter of creamy scallops and home made bread was excellent and my main, a triumph of medallions of pork was a delight to behold and eat. My wife had the most delicious homemade fishcakes. The meal was clearly cooked to order and was a long time before we were served. We enjoyed chatting to the female proprietor whilst admiring a lovely log fire. It was a most relaxing evening and I wish we could have had their Sunday lunch. Highly recommended
Having dined at numerous restaurants around the world, I was truly impressed with my experience at this particular establishment. In a time where the quality of food and service can often be lacking due to the challenges of Covid, it was a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant that exceeded my expectations. The menu was extensive, the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. The team, a lovely husband and wife, made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I had the sea bass, which was cooked to perfection and served with creamy potatoes and salad. My cousins opted for the steak, which was accompanied by tasty vegetables and perfectly cooked chips. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Cornwall and offers a dining experience that is unparalleled. You won't find better food anywhere else.

The meal was clearly made to order, so it took a while before we were served. We had a pleasant conversation with the female owner while sitting near a cozy log fire. It was a very relaxing evening, and I regret not being able to try their Sunday lunch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We stayed at the lovely Chapel at Harewood Farm for a few nights and dined at the Boot Inn twice. The first time was for Sunday roast, which I have to say was one of the best I've ever had. The portions were generous, the beef was tender, the Yorkshire puddings were perfect, and there was plenty of gravy. The meal came with all the trimmings, including a delicious leek and horseradish sauce. Despite being full, we couldn't resist trying the bread butter pudding and trifle. Kim and chef Sean, the hosts, entertained us with stories and made sure everyone was well-fed and happy. We returned a couple of nights later for the chateaubriand and to catch up with Kim and Sean. The meal was fantastic, with perfectly cooked meat, potato dauphinoise, asparagus, and great conversation. This dining experience was definitely a highlight of our holiday, and we can't wait to go back someday.
