The Bears Head Penarth Nr Cardiff

Upon walking in to the pub I waited for a couple of minutes at the bar. Only one other customer was being served while four staff members were either chatting or putting glasses back on the shelves. I asked if they were still serving and was met with a surly response and then after huffing and puffing I was served. That was the worst service I've ever had in a Wetherspoons. The person who served me was pleasant but I was definitely, deliberately kept waiting. I felt quite humiliated

Had a great time here, having frequented many a spoons. I'd have to say, this one is the top. I chatted the the staff at the bar, I bought something different to the usual and enjoyed it, had a curry it was Thursday so it would be rude not to. The team were fantastic and made me feel like I was just relaxing in the lounge (minus my sofa). Tip top all around. Thanks to Nick and the team. See you in 3 weeks when I'm back in the area.

This was my first visit to Wetherspoons, service good. Ordered a classic meal/drink combo. When it came, after 20 minutes, told them cold so they took it away. I awaited around another 20 minutes, assuming would get a fresh and hit meal the same piece of fish and chips was brought back to me: . This time the plate was hot but the now very stale fish and chips were again lukewarm. Very disappointed. Nobody checked if meal was ok as they should do. Would sadly not visit again.

Steak pudding was tiny and very dry more like pastry not suet no taste small portion my wife had a burger not good too

We had the Christmas meal it was excellent, lovely and hot, the staff were very friendly and helpful, 'out of Wetherspoons near to where we live this one is our favourite.
