New China Restaurant - Corner Brook

Lovely restaurant located in the Murphy Square area, close to Walmart, Dominion, and Canadian Tire. The service is fast and the portion sizes are generous. The menu offers a variety of options, including MSG-free dishes, which is crucial for migraine sufferers who love Chinese cuisine but need to avoid MSG. The staff is friendly and the prices are affordable.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times and although the flavors are not always consistent, they are usually very delicious.

Bland, boring, all I could taste was salt. You pay way too much for the poor quality food you get. The place itself isn't in great shape either.

Lady owner forced us to get bottled water when we insisted on tap water being fine. No exaggeration, it was a full minute back and forth on the water. We were out celebrating a special occasion so we gave in, no big deal. But the...portions were tiny, no meat... just filler. I told the lady that we will order a couple of more things, but to please tell the chef to be more reasonable. Lady owner 's face went red and she said this is Newfoundland maybe another Chinese restaurant better for you . That was enough. As we left she asked us to make sure to pay, I said yes it 's right there on the table.

I was a bit shocked and I not sure if true but when served chop suey it was made with cabbage instead of bean sprouts. The waitress said that all chop suey in NFLD is made this way. I have been to St John 's and...do not remember this fact to call this bluff so make sure you ask before ordering your normal Chinese dishes in Newfoundland they might not be made as they are everywhere else in the world LOL..
