Bidra med feedbackYou never know who one will meet there but the locals are sure to find one another at any time of day or night to enjoy a glass or more of the wines from the area. The people at the bar are very well informed and can assist you in a wine tasting.
The enoteca looks unassuming, but it serves its function well, a collective that showcases some of the best wines (and other food products like cheeses and ham) from the Collio region. This is a great concept. The range of wine is good and the prices very reasonable.
Myself and my husband have been here many times during our weekend breaks in friuli. This place is serious for wine lovers. They have a huge, very well priced list of local wines, by the glass or by bottle and it gives you a chance to know less well known producers. Service is rapid and effective. They also have a small food menu.
Good idea to have an enoteca so visitors can taste many regional wines at one single spot everytime I have been there 30 50% of the wines listed were not available wines quite pricey for a local tasting spot closed Tuesdays even during summer (tourist) season, wich is difficult if you're stopping over for 1 or 2 nights only (as most visitors do) would be nice if they stopped cutting the prosciutto by hand (as its always cut way too thick and takes hours) and leave that job to our beloved bordeaux red friend...
Visited here accompanied by a local winemaker. It's a terrific place to sample the wines of Friuli, with small plates of prosciutto and cheese, plus some olives.
