Bidra med feedbackI ordered beef korma and a mango soft drink. What I received was a bowl of soup without rice and only three small pieces of meat. The mango soft drink came in a container that leaked all over the delivery bag. It was a horrible experience. I would rate it 0 out of 10, definitely not recommended.
Best asian food in Cork. Def a must go. You wont be disappointed. Cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food amazing
Ordered takeaway on the just eat app. Claimed they never received my order even though I had confirmation and order number. Bank account was charged the money for take away and they did nothing to rectify the situation. Man on the phone argued with me and pretty much blamed me.
I really rate this place highly, for price, food and quality of service this coming from a fella with a family background in Indian restaurants. My colleague and I came here for lunch on the first day of our business trip to Cork. We got in for opening time (2pm ish) and we were advised to return in around 5 10 minutes while they set everything up and ensured kitchen equipment was started up and ready to go completely understandable. The head waiter warmly greeted us when we returned and the restaurant was understandably quiet given the time of day. We went for the mixed grill main, chicken korai, 2 naans and a pilau rice at which point we were advised that this would be more than enough food for us, despite us wanting to order a lot more because of how hungry we were. It turns out he was right, as we didn't end up even touching the pilau rice (which looked amazing), which the staff happily took back and didn't charge us for. The food itself was wonderful flavoursome, spicy and served piping hot, although I'm no connoisseur. The dishes came with a generous portion of actually meat pieces and the naans were conveniently cut into quarters and presented. We were given complimentary poppadoms and dips while we waited for food, water was topped up as we went along, and the wait for food wasn't bad at all it was ready just as we finished our poppadoms. It turns out the staff at this restaurant are of all sorts of Asian backgrounds Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Indian and Pakistani. And you can certainly tell that they each bring their own little flair to this place. I honestly can't recommend this humble restaurant enough. My messy plate picture doesn't do this place justice, but it's just an idea of what I had. Thanks Lal Quila until next time.
I was very impressed with the whole experience I had here. The food is so delicious and authentic and is beautifully presented in different decorated bowls. Portion sizes are very, very generous and the prices are no more expensive than the next restaurant in Cork. There is huge choice on the menu, and also some interesting drinks on tap. Using the Groupon voucher we had was so convenient as they have the a mobile app, which eliminated the need to even print the voucher. The service was great, nice friendly staff always go a long way! I'd definitely recommend this new restaurant, and wish them all the best!
