Old Town Taverna - Corfu

This is true love. The headkeeper of this place loves his job and is really proud of what he serves and he should be. It is a good food and he keeps us all, from children to grandmother.

Escape from the cruise ship Hoards to find this return road. Calm atmosphere here, outdoor seats are arranged under the steep paved roads, shaded under large trees. Great place for local dishes such as kleftiko. The filled tomatoes and pepper was delicious, delicately flavored with mint excellent vegetarian choice. Be ready for a surprise table cover fee of 1.50 euros per head! Otherwise it was a delicious experience.

Ice looked amazing so we ordered a cup. When we sat down, he brought two big glass bowls full of ice. Not the cups we requested. We ate them since there was a language barrier. It was delicious, but much too much. I fell out of my chair when he charged us 17 euros for the ice cream. I felt like it was a demolition and deception since we asked for cups. Classic baits and switches. Do it. Ot go there!!!!

NUMBER ONE SPOT if you like awful food, poor service and being ripped off then this is the place to go. Speaking a little Greek I noticed the waiters constantly taking the pee out of customers along with smoking over food. They charge for bread and water even if not ordered AND 2 euros for olive oil on salad. The food is pre prepared and bland. If this is front of shop I can only imagine behind the scenes
