Always great service and good food. Especially ribs.
Just recently the Texas Roadhouse in Ames I don't think I'll be going to Texas Roadhouse anytime soon in Ames if they had a bad write up as a dirty restaurant in the kitchen food prep areas were done wrong they had things that they used on chicken and then hung it over the meat that's bad that's a health hazard so I'm just going to stay away from that one for a while till I know they get a good review.
Our food was delicious. Having a son who worked in a Texas Roadhouse helped me in choosing the right meat selection. Our greeter was courteous, and our waiter checked on us often. We come here on special occasions and it's always a special experience for us.
This used to be my favorite place to go or order carry out from but it’s gone downhill. The last 4 times we’ve gotten carry out, at least one thing has been messed up. All of the times, we didn’t get the correct amount of ranch asked for. Last time we got 4 rolls and there should have been 6. This time, the rolls were the right amount but they’re smaller than the ranch containers. They used to be more than twice that size. As stated before, not the right amount of ranch (even put it in the order note) our meat was very undercooked when we got it tonight. We didn’t want to complain the other times, we kept giving chances but disappointed every time. Probably won’t be eating here any more. It is a shame, because the food still tastes good, just smaller portions and our order always gets messed up. It’s pretty simple to count how many rolls or ranches are to be put in an order.
