Bidra med feedbackScratch only offers one type of vegan cupcake daily. The flavor varies depending on the day. You can see the full menu on their website. (They also show their other locations in Des Moines Cedar Falls. The prices are also really reasonable. It's about $2 for a cupcake. It would be nice if vegans had more options. However, it's still better than Molly's, where you can only get chocolate or vanilla. (Molly's has three different frostings chocolate, vanilla, and peanut butter. The cupcakes themselves are better than Molly's too a lot lighter. Be sure to go early in the day. A few times that I've gone, they were either out or I bought the last ones.
Scratch offers a daily selection of one type of vegan cupcake, with the flavor changing each day. The full menu can be viewed on their website, which also lists their other locations in the Cedar Rapids area. The prices are very reasonable, at around $2 per cupcake. While it would be nice to have more vegan options, scratch offers a better selection than Molly's, where only chocolate and vanilla cupcakes are available. Molly's does have three different frostings (chocolate, vanilla, and peanut butter), but scratch's cupcakes are better and easier to enjoy. It's recommended to visit early in the day, as the cupcakes tend to sell out quickly. There have been a few occasions where they were already sold out by the time of visit.
I tried the daily vegan cupcake and cookie at this restaurant, which rotates on a weekly schedule that can be found on their website. I had the 'vegan raspberry love' cupcake and it was delicious - I had to take some more home! Much better than the disappointing vegan cupcakes at Molly's.
Scratch offers a selection of vegan cupcakes, with a different flavor available each day of the week. The peppermint chocolate cupcake I tried was delicious, definitely one of the best vegan cupcakes I've had. It featured a chocolate cake base topped with peppermint frosting and candy cane sprinkles. The flavors and availability schedule can be found on their website. The cupcake was priced at $3.50.
This restaurant review is essentially asking why bother going to the restaurant if they only offer one flavor option such as carrot.
