Golden Boot Cafe - Coquitlam

The Golden Boit has been our restaurant for several years. It is authentic old school Italian. Very delicious! Large portions and great taste. The food is always amazing, try the homemade gnocchi as well as the weekend specials. The house made...tiramisu and ice (Nutella and Pistachios) are for to die.

Our friends have always recommended the Golden Boat and we were not disappointed! My husband, my son and I went and had a great family night. We had the pizza Ferrari (although as spicy not too spicy off), seafood Cannelloni with a tomato cream sauce and...Linguine Carbonara all were very fresh and hot. We all appreciate food and can be critical, but these dishes were all good! Our service was excellent I wish we had received our server name. The only criticism I would have is that lights are so bright, I would rather be a little more ambience with dimmer lighting. But checked all our vaccinations, well spread and felt very safe. Excellent experience in a great place near home!

Well, my take meal definitely does not reflect the consistently high reviews of this restaurant. To begin as two of our party opened their takeout boxes with their pizzas (marked with their names) they both realized that neither the pizza they had ordered but mixed their orders.... they thought this after eating about half their pizza....not such a big thing really. It wasn't until four of us buried in our four lasagnas with meat sauce that the mass deception occurred. The noodles were hot and actually tasted ok (but only on average)....but it should be with meat sauce and the overwhelming consensus was that nobody could notice whether there was even a hint of meat in the sauce...and personally I could have overlooked it too, but I could not have been passing the fact that we all paid over $22, including a 10% tip for basically average lasagne in a basically average lasagne. So our first experience with this restaurant was not good with the price for what we tap the scales on the not so good side.

So nice to get out with friends again and have a place to eat, which has always served us with great food and friendly service. Great to return to a similarity of good order! A place to enjoy!

Had some family over and we were in the mood for Italian. Golden Boot never ceases to impress and it was absolutely amazing again. So glad they are re open! The food quality and service is always amazing. Thank you
