Oriental House - Copeland

This Chinese takeout is excellent, perhaps the finest in Whitehaven. While a bit pricier than some other options, the quality justifies the cost. The establishment is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious.

This takeout restaurant has been a staple in Whitehaven for many years. The food is tasty and the service is top-notch. A great spot to check out.

I recently ordered the lemon chicken at this restaurant and it was terrible. The lemon sauce was more like a cheap sweet and sour sauce with a few lemon slices thrown in. The chicken fillets seemed to be processed and had a disgusting texture and taste. They were also too salty to eat. To make matters worse, I found a long black hair in my rice as I was eating it. I couldn't even finish the dish. The whole meal cost me £8. I would recommend avoiding this place, especially since it seems to be under new management.

Fast service and good food. Reasonable portions prices. We enjoyed salt pepper chicken, chicken fried rice and curry sauce. The chips weren't amazing (not freshly fried) so we'd still to Chinese food in future but otherwise pretty good!

Been going to Oriental House for some time usually really nice since changed hands has started to go down hill sorry to say frequently get order wrong potion size gone down and not up to original standard quality been in again tonight both our meals had folts beef tasted over cooked and tough prawn crackers disappointing as a lot broken up
