Brown Cow Inn - Copeland

Went here last night. This is a proper traditional pub with lovely atmosphere. We had very tasty food and the portions are generous. Decent wine too.. By the way, the veggie and vegan options are excellent which frankly we didn’t expect. So,Brown Cow, we are really glad we tried you. Lovely pub!

Visited this pub for a meal while staying locally with friends and family what can I say it was amazing the food was delicious the hunters chicken was beautiful crispy beef the same an plenty on the plate definitely coming back .

We stayed at the Ravenglass Railway so we dined out for breakfast here as we’d seen the place as we travelled there. The breakfast was huge and I couldn’t have finished it had I not eaten for two days! My wife had a ‘half breakfast’ and she couldn’t even finish that! The quality of the ingredients and the cooking was as good as it gets, first class ten out of ten, maybe even eleven out of ten. When I asked the Landlord if anyone ever finished it, he said that they wouldn’t get away with having it any smaller!! They must have huge appetites in Cumbria. Highly recommended and if we visit the area again then a stop here is certain.

Awesome food, the portions were huge, cooked to perfection and as someone who prides themselves in being able to put a good meal away..... I was nearly beaten by a starter and main . The staff were friendly, interacted well and we had a good banter with them. Sunset views (weather dependent). On the A595 south of Ravenglass not too far round from the Corney fell turning so look out as its right on the main road. We used our camper van overnight in their carpark which is fine as long as you get food/drinks and ask.... basic courtesy and manners really. There are a few nice walks down to and on the coast from here also so cannot fault this place at all

One of the best Sunday Lunches I've ever had. Plenty of food aswell. Beautiful, gravy was amazing. Loved it!
