The Town House Public House - Conwy

My group of two couples visited The Carlton multiple times and despite some negative reviews, we were all very impressed with the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of delicious pub food and everything we tried was excellent. The meals were served piping hot and stayed that way throughout. We highly recommend the katsu chicken burger, small sharing plates (especially the onion rings), breakfast, breakfast burger, scampi, and the mac n cheese topped sharer fries. The interior decor looked newly refreshed and well-done, while the historic charm of the original pub windows added to the overall appeal. The service from all staff members, particularly Paul and Olly, was fantastic. We appreciated their hard work and great customer interactions. The only downside was the cleanliness of the toilets, which could use a thorough cleaning. Despite this, we plan to return and would give The Carlton a 5-star rating if the toilets are improved.

The restaurant is located in a great spot that suits this standard pub well, drawing in a diverse group of customers. We chose to sit outside, which was a nice spot to people-watch. However, if you do opt to sit outside, they serve your drinks in plastic cups. Unfortunately, my beer was flat and lacked flavor. I wasn't the only one who noticed this, as others at the table also mentioned the poor quality of the beer in these cups. I can see why they do this, but I probably won't be sitting outside again. The person at the next table even left half of their drink. The staff was friendly, and they had a good variety of drinks to choose from.

Went here for lunch, had a fghlemy egg, frozen chips and a long piece of hair in the food to go with it! We complained about the hair and said we didn’t want another meal. The worker left with the plate with no apologies and we didn’t see him again. We waited to see what they would offer drink or refund) but nothing! We left and the waiter just stood at the bar and watched us leave!! such a shame as it used to be a lovely place and we’d visit often

Always nip in here for something to eat when in Llandudno, the food is excellent and good value for money. Drinks are Averagely priced. Its always clean and tidy and staff are friendly and helpful Dog friendly too...

Awful pub. Avoid like the plague. With so many great pubs in Llandudno, you have a choice. Went on for a pint, paid with card took a sip, beer was off (Brains SA) asked for a refund but barman replied it would take at least 20 minutes as the boss was busy! Truly awful customer service and it's a grubby little hole too!
