Bidra med feedbackI would rate this restaurant a 3.5 out of 5 as it was above average but not very good. Our starters, the asparagus and lamb croquette, were mediocre. Both dishes had bland-tasting eggs and the portion size of the asparagus was very small for the price of £8 and £10. However, our mains, the plaice and pea/mint risotto, were much better with good portion sizes and taste. The dessert was a letdown, with the £8 lime glazed tart being tiny and the roasted banana ice-cream tasting like regular vanilla. Overall, the meal was decent but overpriced considering the small sizes of the starters and desserts.
The food at this restaurant is extremely expensive and lacking in flavor. The only enjoyable aspects were the wine and dessert, as well as the friendly staff.
The food was fantastic and I will definitely be returning soon. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly. A must-visit place.
The meals we had were delicious. And such a lovely gesture to start with an amuse bouche delicieuse! TO begin we had a variety from the menu, my chicken terrine was delicious and generous... the tuna carpaccio was the star though. THe pigeon a little too gamey for our liking. The sea bass deserves special mention, as does the steak. Lovely reasonably priced wine list. The desserts were not so amazing sadly, though the chocolate hazlenut delice was yummy. Strawberry cheesecake a little ordinary and the rhubarb baked alaska not strongly flavoured enough. BUt all in all a delicious meal, served by charming staff.
Loved the chicken very tasty and plenty of it none of this 'nouvelle cuisine '! an unusual baked Alaska with rhubarb scrumptious!
